PORTLAND, Ore. and BOSTON (October 13, 2026) — The Sports Bra, the world’s first sports bar dedicated exclusively to showing women’s sports, has officially announced the location for its highly anticipated Boston franchise. Situated at 2 Broad Street, the 3,243-square-foot venue sits at a bustling intersection on the border of Boston’s Financial District and Wharf District, placing The Sports Bra at the center of one of the nation’s most passionate sports cities.

An all-star, local, eight-person ownership group leads the Boston location, and the group’s strong bond and shared history in sports inspired them to bring the concept to Massachusetts. For a team that grew up playing sports without a dedicated place to watch their role models, bringing The Sports Bra to Boston is both personal and historic.
“We realized this was the perfect spot the moment we stepped inside and could truly see it transform into The Sports Bra Boston,” said Lydia Coverdale-Perez, a member of the ownership group. “It has it all: a large bar with plenty of seating and TVs, distinct dining spaces for both intimate gatherings and larger groups, and expansive windows looking out onto one of the most bustling intersections in the city. Once inside, you really feel like you’re in the center of it all. For us, walking into this space felt like our group chat finally got home-court advantage.”
The 2 Broad Street location is steeped in quintessential Boston charm. Running alongside the Rose Kennedy Greenway and just a short walk from historic landmarks like Faneuil Hall, Government Center, and the Boston Common, the venue is easily accessible via the MBTA for fans coming from across the region.
Jenny Nguyen, founder and CEO of The Sports Bra, expressed her excitement for the Boston location, “The Sports Bra centers women’s sports and builds a community around them. Boston has one of the deepest, most passionate sports cultures in the world, and this local ownership group embodies everything our brand stands for: leadership, resilience, diversity, and true team spirit. Seeing them secure such an iconic, central location is a massive milestone for our growing franchise family.”
The screens at 2 Broad Street will proudly champion New England’s powerful lineage of women’s teams. Fans can look forward to cheering on local pro and pre-pro powerhouses including Boston Legacy FC (NWSL), the Boston Fleet (PWHL), the Boston Hunters (WPBL), the Boston Guard (Lacrosse), the Boston Banshees (WER), and local Roller Derby leagues. The bar will also celebrate iconic New England traditions like the Boston Marathon, highlight the region’s massive collegiate sports landscape, and honor local legends and trailblazers from marathon pioneers Kathrine Switzer and Bobbi Gibb to icons like Kristine Lilly, Aliyah Boston, Charlotte North, Lilly Reale, Veronica Burton, Aerin Frankel, and Megan Keller.
True to the original Portland, Oregon model, The Sports Bra Boston will be entirely family-friendly. The venue will feature an inclusive food and beverage program with robust options for a wide variety of dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free items. In line with the brand’s core mission, the location will heavily prioritize sourcing products from local, women-owned and -operated businesses to support the regional economy.

“Our vision was always to be more than just a place to watch the game and have a burger. Our space is a hub to share the rich history and future of women’s sports through community engagement, education, and visibility,” Dana Marie Cincis, the ownership group spokesperson, added. “Boston is known as a championship title city. From the historic legacy of the 8-time national champion Boston Renegades to the city’s booming new pro teams, the community is ready for The Sports Bra. Every time we’ve hosted pop-up watch parties, we’ve drawn more and more people who love women’s sports. We can’t wait to finally welcome players, coaches, families, and fans into a home of their own.”
State & Local Leaders Welcome The Sports Bra
“Sports have the power to bring people together and inspire the next generation – and nowhere is that truer than right here in Massachusetts,” said Governor Maura Healey. “We’re proud to welcome The Sports Bra to Boston and celebrate the incredible momentum behind women’s sports across our region. From our professional teams and college athletes to young girls dreaming big, this space will give fans, families and athletes a place to create new traditions. It’s an exciting addition to one of the greatest sports cities in the world, and we can’t wait to see it become a home for women’s sports in New England.”
“The arrival of The Sports Bra in Boston is a reflection of just how much women’s sports have grown — and how hungry fans are for more places to cheer them on,” said Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll. “This new space will help build community, create visibility, and celebrate the women who inspire us every day.”
Adding to the community spirit, neighboring businesses have also embraced the launch. Cliff Dever, owner of neighboring business Warehouse Kitchen + Sports Bar, said, “We’ve been incredibly fortunate to host The Sports Bra Boston’s watch parties at Warehouse, and it’s been amazing to watch their community grow. Every fan deserves a place to come together, watch their teams, and feel at home. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome them right next door. Their arrival is great for Boston, women’s sports, and New England fans, and we can’t wait to see what they build.”

Meanwhile, fans can expect continued pop-up events and watch parties across the city.
